About Us

Wilbert Waste — a family-owned
Berkeley County dumpster company.

Founded by Jimmy Patterson · Based in Moncks Corner, SC

We are the Patterson family — Jimmy and Leah, alongside our daughters Layla and Sadie. Wilbert Waste is a fresh start: a roll-off dumpster company built to make removing what you no longer need simple, fast, and responsible — and to be the hauler the Lowcountry can actually trust.

We don't take this opportunity lightly. We show up when we say we will, charge what we quoted, and handle every load like the Earth it ends up on matters — because it does.

The Name

Why we're called Wilbert

The company is named after its founder, Wilbert James Patterson III (Jimmy). Three generations of men carried the name Wilbert — and none of them used it. It was passed down like an obligation and treated like an inconvenience.

Jimmy is the first to claim it and give it meaning — not out of sentimentality, but because a name handed down for generations deserves more than silence. It deserves purpose. Wilbert Waste is that purpose: proof that cycles can be broken and what was neglected can be reclaimed.

Our Story

A fresh start, chosen with intention

Before Wilbert Waste, Jimmy built and ran TruScape, a landscaping and grounds-care company in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He wore every hat a solo founder has to wear — and learned what breaks a person down. He's closing that chapter not because it failed, but because he learned what he needed to and is ready to build something better suited to who he is: someone who loves trucks, honest physical work, and systems that run clean.

So we relocated our family to Summerville, South Carolina, to build Wilbert Waste in the heart of Berkeley County. The Lowcountry is booming — construction, renovation, cleanouts, roofing, demolition — and the demand for responsible, reliable roll-off service is real. We intend to meet it with something the market largely doesn't have: a hauler that's genuinely easy to work with.

Our Vision

The hauler people trust

A waste hauling company built on purpose — where responsibility, honest work, and genuine care for people and the land become the standard for how this industry operates in the Lowcountry and beyond. Not the cheapest option or the biggest name; the one you book once and never have to worry about again.

Our Mission

Simple, fast, responsible

We make removing what you no longer need simple, fast, and responsible. We show up when we say we will, charge what we quoted, and handle every load like the Earth it ends up on matters. No runaround, no fine-print surprises, no rough edges — just a dumpster when you need it and a company that's genuinely decent to work with.

What We Stand For

Five values, no exceptions

01Responsibility

We feel the weight of what we haul.

Every load goes to a licensed facility, handled legally and properly. Illegal dumping is never an option — no matter what it might save on a given day. We are stewards of materials people trust us to dispose of correctly, and that trust is not for sale.

02Honesty

We say what we mean and do what we say.

Transparent pricing — what you see when you book is what you pay. We call you before you have to call us if something changes, and we tell you the truth even when it's uncomfortable. No runaround, no fine-print surprises.

03Ownership

We act like it's our name on the line — because it is.

Jimmy runs trucks himself, sets the direction, and makes the hard calls. We set clear expectations, give our people the tools to succeed, and reward those who perform. Clarity and accountability, not surveillance and fear.

04Stewardship

We handle the land, the materials, and our communities with care.

We haul to licensed facilities, divert what can be diverted, and run clean, well-maintained equipment. The Lowcountry is growing fast, and the Earth that receives everything we haul is not ours to abuse.

05Care

We treat people the way we'd want to be treated on their worst day.

The person calling about a dumpster isn't always in a good spot — mid-renovation, behind on a job, cleaning out an estate. Our standard is patience, decency, and genuine helpfulness in every interaction, even when we have to hold a line.

Built to last

We're building Wilbert Waste to be a real, profitable, well-run business — one worth keeping, and one we'd be proud to pass to our daughters one day.

Honored to serve the Lowcountry

Berkeley County and the broader Lowcountry are growing fast, and that growth generates waste — renovation debris, construction material, cleanouts, roofing tear-offs, and more. Wilbert Waste exists to channel that material responsibly and to be the infrastructure that keeps the region from bearing the cost of careless disposal.

It's a privilege to contribute — with dependable roll-off service, true family ownership, and deep respect for the communities we're grateful to call home.
